One of the easiest ways to lower moving stress is to line up your boxes early. With a rental you do not have to hoard cardboard for weeks, but you do want to reserve your crates in time to get your preferred delivery date.
A simple timeline
- 1 to 2 weeks ahead: reserve your kit, especially for weekend and end-of-month move dates, which fill up fastest.
- A few days before the move: we deliver the crates so you can start packing non-essentials.
- Moving day: everything is already boxed, stacked, and ready to load.
- Up to two weeks after: unpack at your own pace, then we pick the crates up.
Why two weeks is the sweet spot
Our standard rental runs two weeks, which comfortably covers packing before and unpacking after a local move. If you need longer, you can add a week for $25. Most St. Pete movers find two weeks is plenty without paying for time they do not use.
Busy dates to plan around
The end of the month, the first weekend of the month, and lease-turnover season are the busiest windows. If your move lands on one of those, book on the earlier side. Not sure how many crates to reserve? Start with our sizing guide, then check pricing.
